The Rumble Kong League


RKL is a mobile-first, arcade-style basketball game that blends fast-paced 3v3 gameplay with skill-based competition, real-life rewards, digital ownership, and a unique IP.

Inspired by 90s basketball nostalgia and iconic titles like NBA Jam, RKL is built for both casual and competitive players, backed by a diehard community and supported by professional athletes.

The game launched its beta in January 2025 and is now available for download on iOS and Android.










My Role & Contributions


As Chief Brand Officer, I oversaw brand and marketing strategy end-to-end, from product positioning and creative direction to growth campaigns, in-game experiences, and go-to-market planning.

I managed cross-department initiatives spanning game development, design, and community, while collaborating closely with external partners, agencies, and creators.

I also played a key role in user acquisition strategy and community-driven growth. This cross-functional role gave me a 360° view of what it takes to build, scale, and sustain a modern digital entertainment brand.

Game Modes


RKL offers a dynamic mix of gameplay modes that cater to both casual and competitive players.

Core Game
At the heart of the experience is the 3v3 basketball loop, with fast-paced matches in Casual Play and ranking-based League Play for competitive progression and rewards.

Athlos Hub
Beyond the court, players can explore Athlos City, a third-person, immersive social world designed for connection, seasonal brand activations, and limited-time quests.


HotShot
For players looking to test their aim and nerves, HotShot is a fast-paced three-point shootout where players wager in-game currency and compete in quickfire duels.







The Vision


RKL was built on the idea that sports games could be more than realistic simulations. They could be fun, stylized, competitive, and culture-driven.

The goal is to create an expandable IP, starting with the Kongs and Rookies, and eventually introducing new characters and species. Think of it as a vibrant Zootopia for sports .

Long-term, we envision the community owning and expanding parts of this universe themselves. From custom characters to lore extensions, players have the tools and freedom to co-create and grow the IP on their own terms.
